HowTo ROM Tutorial

1. visit here http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/CPS2emu and find the game you like to play.

2. For rom file, you need to search for the exact zip file name next to the game title.
For example, for Vampire Saver 2, it's "vsav2.zip".

3. Use your PC and Google search "vsav2.zip" to find a rom set.

4. Copy the zip file onto your sdcard.

5. Run CPS2HD and click "Generate Cache File" and choose the zip file.
(this is one time only and will take couple minutes to generate one...so, please be patient!)

*** IMPORTANT: DO NOT Change the orientation or push any key during the process of generating cache file!

6. Play the game :)

There are some games which requires two rom sets.
And please avoid rom file that needs a special instruction such as "only work if Decrypt option is activated"

For example, for marvel vs capcom, I would need both mvsc.zip and mvscj.zip.
And you MUST generate cache file for "mvscj.zip" and load "mvscj.zip" to play! (not mvsc.zip)

I google search for the above rom files and found these location.

There is a paid app called "Rom Buddy" on the market.
It allows to download cps2 roms directly to your phone.
I haven't tried it out myself so, please flag here if it doesn't work.

    lol, i can't work it out either.
    tried reassigning coin and P1 to the onscreen htc keyboard but they don't appear to work during the game. track ball movement as coin also didn't coin it.

    Nexus one doesn't work with this emuator. Can't change controller to the on screen keyboard.

    hey all nexus one owners plz see my video for gaming for the cps2hd emulator. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afgNzzqrKdI it works not fake!all u need is a wiimote controller and a classic controller. the app for this is called wiimote controller by CCP Cre@ions. this how you set it up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YpSHvDottw just attached the classic controller to the wiimote and search for a signal via bluetooth. thanks to jrioni for using my video for his blog. thanks jrioni! questions leave a comment on my youtube page or twitter all info is on my youtube channel.

    To insert coin just drag virtual keypad up and down a few times on left side of the screen till game starts

    I'm using droid incredible. I downloaded the link next to the title in the wiki article from romnation (sfa3.zip) and put the zip file straight on my phone. I then created a cache file from cps2hd and clicked "Load ROM file" and clicked the same file that I cached. When loading, it says:
    CPS2EMU (VER 8)
    Rescale: Hardware rescale
    Line Scroll: On
    Cache dir:
    Game dir:
    Upper memory full use only cache data.
    Checking ROM info...
    Loading ROM: sfa3
    ROM check complete....
    ROM set "sfa3"
    Cache file "sfa3.cache".
    Loading information data...
    ERROR: Unsupported Cache File.
    Please rebuild cache file.
    Press BACK button.


    I NEED HELP PLEASE!!
